Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2021
This Privacy Policy explains how Zanestone Consulting, LLC ("Zanestone", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our website at zanestone.com (the "Site"). We've kept it plain and short. If anything here is unclear, please reach out through our contact page.
Information you provide
The only information you actively give us is what you type into our contact form: your name, email address, and your message. You choose what to share — please don't include sensitive personal information in a message. When you submit the form, it is delivered to us by email so we can read and reply to it.
Information collected automatically
Like essentially every website, the Site records basic technical and usage information when you visit. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, the page that referred you, the pages you view, an approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through standard server logs and privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics provided by our hosting platform. We use it to understand overall traffic, keep the Site secure, and improve it. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.
Cookies & local storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you switch the Site between light and dark mode, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage — it stays on your device and is never sent to us.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about them.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share the information you submit through the Site with third parties for their own purposes. We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. We rely on trusted vendors to run the Site and deliver our email — for example, Cloudflare, which provides our hosting, email delivery, and analytics. They process information solely to provide those services to us.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we are compelled to do so by a lawful court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or where required by applicable law.
That's it. We will not otherwise share, sell, or hand over your data.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, then delete them. Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained for a limited time according to our hosting provider's standard settings.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what information of yours we hold, and ask us to correct or delete the information you submitted through the Site, by contacting us through our contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor those to the extent they apply.
Children
The Site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International visitors
We operate from the United States. If you visit the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
